Natural Cold Process Soaps

Our natural cold process soaps are made with premium vegetable oils and butters, herbs and flower petals for texture and interest, spices or natural pigments for color, and scented with quality essential and fragrance oils. Once our soap is taken out of the mold, it is hand cut into bars and allowed to cure and harden for four weeks. Each bar is then carefully hand polished and packaged in clear poly bags to ensure its freshness. Because our bars are hand cut they vary in weight from 4.75 – 5.5 ounces.

Mango Butter Soap - $5.50

We were thrilled to discover the tropical answer to skincare is Mango Butter! This exotic butter extracted from the mango fruit adds just the right regenerating and moisturizing touch to our soaps. With just a little more experimentation, we discovered that palm and palm kernel oils increased the cleansing properties of the bar, while coconut oil gave it the lathering and long lasting qualities for which our soaps are known. We are sure that you will find that using any one of Prairie Sun’s Mango Butter Soaps will leave you with a tropical glow.

Citrus Sunrise

A “razzily” raspberry colored bar with the uplifting & energizing scent of a sun-ripened pink grapefruit. The addition of citrus essential oil acts as a toner and helps balance oily skin.

Rosemary Dill

An off-white bar with a bit of texture. Enhanced with an herbal blend of ground rosemary, dill & coffee beans and scented with rosemary essential oil, this bar is truly a Rocky Mountain favorite – an excellent kitchen and gardening soap.

Shea Butter Soap - $5.50

Last year it was reported that Colorado had over 300 days of sunshine. That same extraordinary weather that brightens our spirits and helps to dry the natural botanical products we offer, also has similar incredible dehydrating effects on our skin. In the never-ending challenge to remain our youthful and fresh looking selves, we can not say enough about the magical properties of Shea Butter. Used for centuries in Africa, Shea Butter offers protection to the skin against weather, sun and aging. See why we said magical? We’ve added Shea Butter to this line of soaps so that you can take advantage of what we have already discovered. The addition of palm kernel & sunflower oils only makes this soap more cleansing and moisturizing.

Almond Oatmeal

Almond lovers unite! You won’t believe the strong, true, delightful almond scent packed into this bar. We’ve enhanced this soap with just a touch of ground oatmeal for a gentle exfoliating effect. So unbelievably delicious smelling that we have to constantly remind our customers that this warm tan bar is not edible!

Ginger-Orange

This pale orange bar is upbeat & mildly spicy.  It contains notes of fresh orange and ginger with hints of cinnamon and balsam.

Juniper Sage

One of our favorite scents because it reminds us of home after the sun has warmed this awesome combination of herbs. A teriffic unisex scent with blended notes of evergreen, juniper and aromatic sage, this fragrance is brisk, crisp and sporty. All this fragrance comes wrapped up in a creamy beige bar.

Lavender

A tan bar with a classic scent. Our lavender essential oil comes from Provence, France. Picture fields of wild lavender perfuming the air, bright blue skies, an ocean in the distance – go ahead and add a butterfly or two and yourself in this picture if you want. At Prairie Sun we day- dream quite a bit. Got the picture? That’s the scent! This bar is enhanced with ground lavender buds for your pleasure.

Lemon Verbena

This cheery, yellow bar is the perfect pick-me-up.  The complex fragrance is a delightful blend of Italian bergamot and lemon verbena with a  bit of primrose, violet, amber and white musk. A drop of peppermint provides an energizing surprise!

Melon Tea

An irresistable pale peach bar with the fresh, "herby" scent of luscious melons and rich tea rounded out with lemon-lime top notes.

Unscented

A pristine bar of pure white moisturizing soap. That’s right! No scent. No color. Made especially for our customers with sensitive skin.
